Let’s finish in style…
This is Manchester United‘s final game before the beginning of the Premier League season, so let’s finish the pre-season tour in style.
It is a second-string side, with the majority of United’s probable starting XI to face Wolves next Monday starting yesterday against RC Lens, but there’s still undeniable quality coursing through the team.
It’s a really good mix of experience and youth. The back-line looks solid, with Maguire and Lindelof knowing just what it’s like to play in big games – they’ll be much needed.
MORE UNITED STORIES
Another veteran in Christian Eriksen will be playing in the 8, with the massively exciting Dan Gore and a player with a point-to-prove Van de Beek next to him.
A vibrant young trio make up the front line. Pellistri and Forson will be on the wings, with Sancho playing a slightly unorthodox centre-forward role.
Players fighting for their lives
Some players will be fighting for their Old Trafford futures in this game, with two in particular – Harry Maguire and Donny van de Beek.
The two have been heavily speculated with moves away, so this could genuinely be the last time they have to impress Erik ten Hag.
Let’s see how they do… come on United!
