Antonio Valencia should get Manchester United recall v Wolves

Manchester United fans got a glimpse of the future on Wednesday night when Diogo Dalot starred against Young Boys.
Is it time up for Antonio Valencia at right-back?
Eventually, yes. But Valencia must be recalled for United’s game with Wolves this weekend.

Valencia has been a bargain for United since signing for £16 million in 2009, captaining the Red Devils, winning titles, and reinventing himself as a full-back.
This season his form has not been great. He didn’t offer a great attacking outlet against Watford, but it is a show of respect to Wolves’ strengths that Valencia should come back in, at the cost of the raw but exciting Dalot.
Dalot will get a chance to show what he can do next week in the Carabao Cup against Derby County.

Not to be underestimated

Wolves may only have scored five goals in five games – don’t be deceived by that moderate statistic.
They are waiting to break out and have the talent to do so, with Adama Traore, Helder Costa and Diego Jota all capable of being game changing talents on their day.
This is a huge game for Wolves. They have dreamed of going toe to toe with United in recent seasons, being relegated down to League One in 2013.

Now they are back with the big boys, and they showed against City they can give anyone a game.
Throwing Dalot in with just a couple of days rest almost isn’t fair to the youngster.
Valencia should get the chance to respond to the challenge for his place posed by Dalot, and shut down Wolves in the process.
