Manchester United defender Jonny Evans has been praised by pundit Ally McCoist for a ‘dream’ assist against Burnley on Saturday.
United made the short trip to Turf Moor on Saturday evening with Erik ten Hag seeking to move past a difficult few days.
Defeats to Brighton and Hove Albion as well as Bayern Munich had piled the pressure on Ten Hag with United conceding seven goals in just a few days.
This was much better though as United not only came with a win, but also a clean sheet.
Bruno Fernandes scored the only goal of the game, smashing home a beautiful volley before half-time as United got back to winning ways.

The clean sheet meant a great return for defender Jonny Evans, who was making a first appearance for United since 2015.
Evans returned to United this summer having been released by relegated Leicester City.
The veteran defender was seen as a veteran presence way down the pecking order but he was thrust into action on Saturday.
Raphael Varane was only fit for the bench whilst Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martinez were both out, meaning Evans came in to partner Victor Lindelof.
Not only did Evans contribute to the clean sheet but he also set up the goal with an inch-perfect pass over the Burnley defence to pick out Fernandes.
Evans was praised by pundit Ally McCoist following that assist, with the former Rangers man telling TNT Sports (23/09, 20:45) that it was a ‘dream’ of a pass.
“What a goal it is, it’s brilliant,” said McCoist. “Jonny Evans picks him out with a dream of a pass, he just floats in between the two defenders and gets himself a space but the technique to finish, and the delivery, I’ve got to say – the ball from Evans is fantastic,” he added.

Evans stats v Burnley
The Northern Irishman was a rock in the heart of the United back line.
Evans stood strong against the Burnley attack, racking up eight clearances and three successful aerial duels.
Evans also recorded one interception, proving to be a solid contributor in an improved United defensive display.
United won’t want to call upon Evans too many times this season given his age, but he made an impact at both ends of the pitch against Burnley.
