Ruben Amorim would have been watching on in disbelief at how bad one Manchester United regular was against Nottingham Forest.
Despite defeat, Manchester United’s performance was not all too bad with a handful of standout performers.
However, in these standout performers, we doubt Ruben Amorim would include his defenders or Andre Onana, with individual errors costing United the three points.
Rasmus Hojlund scored the first goal for United, while Bruno Fernandes scored the second in the 3-2 defeat, although Amorim withdrawing his captain baffled Owen Hargreaves.
However, the most frustrating player on the pitch was Diogo Dalot who is struggling to adapt as a left wing-back in Amorim’s system.

Diogo Dalot disappointing for Manchester United
Before Amorim’s arrival, Dalot was one of the most consistent players in the squad. Dalot even started every game for 11 months which spoke volumes of his importance.
However, the left wing-back role has left the Portuguese star looking out of place and struggling to perform.
With attacking responsibility on the wing-backs, Dalot simply offers nowhere near enough in this department – a sharp contrast to the magic Amad Diallo on the right.
Dalot completed one pass into the final third in the game while managing to complete 0/9 crosses attempted which is far from satisfactory.
91st minute moment must seal his fate with Ruben Amorim
It was another positive performance in many ways for United, however, Dalot was frustratingly poor in helping the team on the attack – which killed any and all moves on the left side.
However, the moment which is inexcusable came in the 91st minute as United hunted an equaliser, instead of playing Amad in over on the right side, Dalot had a shot which may have landed at the City Ground, never mind in the crowd.
Upon this happening, the camera panned to Amorim on the sidelines as he could quite clearly be seen looking frustrated and throwing his arms up at the utterly atrocious decision-making Dalot showed.
Against Viktoria Plzen, Amorim should give Harry Amass a chance or stick to Tyrell Malacia – both are far more effective going forward on the left.
