4-2-3-1: Manchester United predicted XI v Palace

Add as preferred source on Google

Here is how we predict Manchester United to line-up as they take on Crystal Palace for the second time in five days.

As often is the case, the Carabao Cup tie on Tuesday has been followed immediately by a Premier League game against the same opponents.

Manchester United were far too good for Palace on Tuesday, winning the game 3-0 at Old Trafford.

Now back at the Theatre of Dreams, it seems likely that we will see a repeat of the dominant victory, with a stronger line-up expected from Erik ten Hag.

Manchester United predicted XI v Palace

Back in the Premier League and a rested and refreshed duo should return as Ten Hag reverts to his full-strength line-up.

One position which won’t be changing is Andre Onana in goal, as he looks to grab a third straight clean sheet after a lacklustre start.

Defensively we were so strong against Crystal Palace, so with Lisandro Martinez absent through injury, Harry Maguire should retain his place next to Raphael Varane.

At full-back Diogo Dalot should get the chance to continue his excellent form at right-back while Sofyan Amrabat should continue on the left.

He was incredible against Palace here and offers the option to invert and join the midfield when in possession, especially with Sergio Reguilon still recovering.

In midfield, Casemiro should start in the exact same role he was in against Palace midweek.

Meanwhile Mason Mount should take up a slightly deeper role next to him, with Hannibal Mejbri as the third midfielder in a three man midfield.

A fully rested Bruno Fernandes comes back in again as the right sided attacker after his brilliant goal last week.

Then Marcus Rashford returns on the left, however he will need to improve with Alejandro Garnacho breathing down his neck.

Up-top Rasmus Hojlund returns as he looks to add to his tally for the season.

Predicted XI: Onana; Dalot, Varane, Maguire, Amrabat; Casemiro, Mount; Fernandes, Hannibal, Rashford; Hojlund
