Rapper Stormzy gave his verdict on Cristiano Ronaldo‘s Manchester United future live on Sky Sports following the 2-1 victory vs Liverpool.

Erik ten Hag started the 37-year-old on the bench in last night’s win against bitter rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner’s future has been called into question throughout the summer transfer window ever since Ronaldo’s representatives broke the news he wanted to join a Champions League club.

Having started the 4-0 drubbing at Brentford, the former Ajax manager opted to drop his number seven and brought Anthony Elanga into the side in place of the Portuguese captain.

Ronaldo came off the bench in the closing stages, but with nine days of the summer transfer window remaining, there is every chance that was the former Juventus man’s last appearance at the Theatre of Dreams.

Speaking after the game to Sky Sports, Stormzy was asked whether he felt this could be the last time Cristiano Ronaldo played at Old Trafford as a Manchester United player.

The artist responded: “With Ronaldo, I feel that when you’re that great you cannot speak about him.

“You’ve just got to let the man be great.

“As much as there has been a bit of a fuss – that’s a GOAT, you’ve got to let the GOATs be the GOATs.”

Despite undoubtedly being one of the game’s all-time greats, Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes has struggled to engineer interest from top Champions League sides this summer.

Ronaldo was United’s top scorer last season with 24 goals across all competitions, 18 of which came in the Premier League.

But with the Portuguese international in the twilight stages of his career, the Champions League all-time top scorer and appearance maker has no desire to play in the Europa League.
