Gary Neville has urged wantaway striker Cristiano Ronaldo to clarify his Manchester United future now instead of waiting two weeks.
It has been no secret this summer that the 37-year-old has wanted to leave the Red Devils and join a Champions League contender.
Manchester United’s appalling start to the season under Erik ten Hag and the club’s inability to sign the players the former Ajax manager wants to form part of his Old Trafford rebuild won’t have helped Ronaldo’s mood.

United’s number seven was our top scorer last season with 24 goals across all competitions having returned last August from Juventus.
Bruno Fernandes was the club’s second top scorer with 10 goals across all competitions.
Coming to the end of an incredible career, one of football’s all-time greats is playing in an awful team that is seemingly bereft of confidence, desire and ability.
Gary Neville urges Cristiano Ronaldo to clarify his Manchester United future

Such is the aura Ronaldo carries, United’s number seven was always going to be considered a scapegoat if and when things took a turn for the worst at the Theatre of Dreams.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has been criticised in the media, with The Times claiming Ronaldo is ‘dragging the mood down.’
Ronaldo is not happy with the media, and insists he will set the record straight with his own version of events when the time is right.

Whether he will be a Manchester United player by the time the summer transfer window has closed is unclear.
Ronaldo responded on Instagram to a fan account, which had hit out at the media and also written: “I really want Cristiano to leave Manchester because the current scenario in this team is very bad for him, but if he stays, I will fervently hope that everything goes well as always. Until the 31st, the crowd will be for him to go to a better team and that can happen, let’s wait.”
Ronaldo wrote a response, insisting the majority of the media reports about him are inaccurate.
He said: “They’ll know the truth when I give an interview in a few weeks. Media only speaks lies. I have a notebook and in the last few months of the 100 news that made only 5 hits, imagine how things are. Stick with that tip.”
Ronaldo’s former Manchester United teammate Neville has urged the ‘greatest player of all time’ to not wait two weeks to address his future given the perilous position the club are currently in.
