Cristiano Ronaldo scored a match winning hat-trick to help Manchester United to a victory over Norwich.
For all Ronaldo’s brilliance, he could not have done it without young teammate Anthony Elanga.
Elanga wob the ball for Ronaldo’s first goal, before playing in a pass which presented the forward with a great opportunity.
He then won the free-kick for Ronaldo’s third, the winning goal.
Ronaldo appreciated Elanga’s efforts, with the 19-year-old putting in a committed display.
The teenager posted on Instagram after the win, and received a seal of approval from Ronaldo amid other responses.
Ronaldo’s message was a short seal of approval for the young forward, who has broken into the first team at a very difficult time.
Elanga had had his ups and downs like all the other players in the squad, and this was one of the highs.
Ronaldo benefitted from his presence on the pitch, with Elanga also joining in his ‘Siuu’ celebration for his first goal.
Elanga was preferred to Marcus Rashford for this clash and on the basis of his performance, it was understandable to see why.
Even though he did most score, this was one of Elanga’s best performances in a United shirt yet, and his contribution was important, including his first ever assist for the club.
