Manchester United’s under-21 side slipped to a last minute defeat away at Leicester City.
Part of the challenge for Manchester United’s under-21 players has been tackling the streaky inconsistency of results.
United began 2023 with six wins in a row, and now, the side have gone six games without a win.
The latest result was a 3-2 loss at bottom side Leicester City, after an injury time winner for the Foxes.

Manchester United under-21s show resilience
Manchester United’s under-21 side were playing their first game in April, after the previous draw against Arsenal on March 31.
This irregular scheduling has not helped the players out, and there was a sloppy start when former Manchester United under-16s talent Chris Popov opened the scoring after just three minutes.
Leicester’s side featured two senior players, defender Jannik Vestegaard and Champions League winner Ryan Bertrand.
Despite this, United’s players rallied to equalise through defender Sonny Aljofree, only to fall behind again minutes later and go in 2-1 down at the break.
United rallied to recover and equalise for a second time when Colombia youth international Mateo Mejia scored his second goal in as many matches.
Mejia was among the under-21 stars training with the first team at the weekend and he has been thriving lately, leading the side for assists.
In injury time the tie tilted against United, with Leicester scoring a winner to take the game 3-2.
Both teams had a player sent off for a second bookable offence in stoppage time, with Willy Kambwala sent off for the Red Devils.
United’s XI: Bishop, Hardley, Aljofree, Kambwala, Wellens, Gore, Collyer, Hansen-Aaroen, Emeran, Forson, Mejia
