Manchester United wing prospect Noam Emeran wanted on loan by French and German clubs with new contract imminent

Manchester United youngster Noam Emeran is wanted on loan next season by clubs in France and Germany, according to a new report.

French outlet Footmercato report Emeran is set to sign a two-year contract extension with United.

Emeran has not yet featured in a senior match day squad, although did train with the first team during the recent international break.

Footmercato report German sides Werder Bremen and Augsburg are both keen, as are French club Nantes.

United sent Tahith Chong on loan to Werder Bremen in 2020, although he was recalled halfway through the season.

Emeran, 19, would benefit from a loan move to play regular football to boost his development.

The teenager signed for United in January 2019 from French side Amiens, beating competition from some of Europe’s top clubs.

He missed most of his first season at the club due to injury before kicking on for the under-18s last season.

Another injury caused him to miss the first half of this past season, but he has stayed fit in 2022 and become a regular for the under-23s.

He has scored once and provided one assist since returning from injury, and has featured in recent under-23 matches held at Old Trafford against Everton and Chelsea.

Ed Aarons of The Guardian reported earlier this month that Emeran was set to sign a contract extension, reporting that there was competing interest from Barcelona and Bayer Leverkusen.

Footmercato report Emeran’s contract will be two years with a further option of a third.
