Enzo Kana-Biyik scores again for France U19, he’s in top form this season

The international break often sees Manchester United with plenty of players in action, and this month is no different.

While club football is missed, there are lots of Manchester United players in action this month for their national teams across several age groups.

Shea Lacey has been the shining light for England U20, while Portugal suffered from Bruno Fernandes’ absence against Ireland in a 2-0 win at the Aviva Stadium.

James Scanlon assisted for Gibraltar, and now a forgotten wonderkid has also impressed for his national team and has been among the goals.

Enzo Kana-Biyik scores again for France U19

In the summer, Enzo Kana-Biyik signed for United on a free contract after leaving Le Havre and was immediately sent out on loan to FC Lausanne, where it was slow going for the Frenchman.

However, Kana-Biyik scored his first goal for Lausanne recently before returning to the French U19 set-up this month.

The 18-year-old started up front for France U19 against Bulgaria in a 2-1 win, scoring the second goal of the game, which turned out to be the winner.

This follows Kana-Biyik’s impressive debut for France U19, scoring three goals against Switzerland, and then one against the Netherlands, so he has five in four for the French side.

Goals are beginning to flow for Enzo Kana-Biyik as Manchester United watch

This season has been a struggle for Kana-Biyik with injuries and limited minutes for FC Lausanne at times, meaning that he’s had few opportunities to impress on his loan.

But with goals now beginning to flow for him, Jonny Evans will be keeping a close eye from his loan and pathways manager role.

Comparisons to Hugo Ekitike look well placed as the 18-year-old has shown strong positioning and also finishing for the goals he has scored this season.

United should be pleased with how he is performing, but the teenager needs to do a lot more to earn a place in pre-season next season over some of the talents already at the club.

But the more he plays, the better he will get, having shown some positives already that are worth highlighting as positives, definitely one to watch, as he should get more goals as the season goes on.
