The Manchester United academy has so many young talents right now that some go completely under the radar.
Inside Carrington right now, Chido Obi is undoubtedly the player that Manchester United are most hyped about. Obi has been an instant hit since joining from Arsenal.
Ruben Amorim has already given Obi two appearances in the first-team. United fans have suggested Obi is better than Rasmus Hojlund.
The 17-year-old had proved himself simply too talented to play in the academy any longer, and his progression serves as an ever-present sign to young players at the club of the pathway to the senior team.
Obi will not be the last academy debutant Amorim names, with Amir Ibragimov, Sekou Kone and Shea Lacey all good enough to soon be knocking on the door.
But further down the ranks, one high-potential 14-year-old has been handed a U17 international call-up.

Manchester United wonderkid Silva Mexes handed first Thailand call-up
Last summer, United signed a number of academy-level talents with an eye toward securing the future of the club.
Among the arrivals, United signed Silva Mexes from Ipswich Town, with the 14-year-old tipped as a stupendous talent expected to reach impressive heights.
Mexes is known for his Usain Bolt-like speed – which saw the teenager just 1.52 seconds slower than the greatest sprint athlete of all time. Now, he has gotten much-deserved recognition by Thailand.
Mexes was included in the U17 Thailand squad, after which he has now sent a message on Instagram.
“Great experience and a great time away with the Thailand u17s, big thank you for all the support. It’s been an honour to be able to wear the Thai badge.”
In the responses, United U18 winger Samuel Lusale commented “kiddo”, while full-back Dante Plunkett labelled Mexes as “son”.
Mexes’ father Robert Earnshaw who is formerly a Wales international also commented with a heart emoji.
Mexes most recently shone for United in the MTU indoor cup last month with the U15s. Here, Mexes scored eight goals – including one against Barcelona.
Silva Mexes shows he’s a class act while with Thailand
Given Mexes’ status as a Manchester United player, his arrival in Thailand was always likely to grab plenty of attention.
This is exactly what happened with Mexes videoed on the PFA Bangkok Instagram story meeting with young academy footballers from the Football School.
Mexes seemed to take time to interact with every kid which showed what a class act he is outside of being pure class on the pitch.
United and Amorim not only want players to be talented but also off the pitch the personality and character must be top-notch for the club to have faith in the talents.
