Key points
Manchester United’s U18 side took on Wolves at Carrington on Tuesday night as they got back in the win column.
It was another dominant showing from Adam Lawrence’s side in which United managed to take the lead through Louie Bradbury.
The 16-year-old finished off Jaydan Kamason’s cross excellently to hand Manchester United a 1-0 lead. However, the lead lasted just minutes before Wolves scored an uncontested header.
Gabriele Biancheri would have been left frustrated in the second half, with another dubious offside call, just like what happened when he scored in United’s 0-0 draw with Newcastle on Saturday.
United were granted a saving grace however when Kamason’s late second-half cross was put into the net by a Wolves defender to hand the Red Devils a 2-1 lead.
This was how it ended, with United moving within one point of City in the U18 Premier League. A first win in three.

United get the win
Manchester United could have won by five or six goals today, but the most important thing is that three points have been claimed.
Jaydan Kamason was very good today, looking a level above once again. Meanwhile, Louie Bradbury got his first goal for the U18s, which should be the start of him being a regular at this level.

Manchester United win 2-1 to claim three crucial points, keeping the title dream alive.
[Link]Lusale looks bright
Injury struggles may have determined Lusale’s first few months at United, but he’s looked so sharp today and had defenders on strings.
[Link]Huge save
If United go on to win, the points are owed to Byrne-Hughes as he made a game-saving point-blank stop.

Own goal. Kamason cross into the box forces the error with the Wolves defender knocking it into his own net.

For the second time, the woodwork denies United. On another day this would be 4-1.
[Link]Kamason has an effort saved
Kamason has been impressive again today and just tested the goalkeeper, 10 minutes left.
[Link]Biancheri scores but it is dubiously ruled offside
Just like against Newcastle, Biancheri’s goal is chalked off for offside, but he looked onside. Dubious decision.
[Link]Ibragimov has a chance
Bailey put a good ball into the box which Ibragimov met in the air but it went over the bar. Should have scored.
[Link]Ibragimov running the show
Ibragimov has dropped deep a couple of times now and the quality of his passing is exquisite. Running the show, hopefully United take advantage of this pressure.
[Link]United come close again
A devastating counterattack sees Bradbury’s shot saved. The Welsh striker could have a hat-trick by now!

Assist by Jaydan Kamason.

[Link]United hit the bar
Brilliant football from United which ended with Louie Bradbury hitting the crossbar. Good start from United.
[Link]Ibragimov looks lively
Still on the comeback from injury, Ibragimov is back to his menacing best as he nabs the ball off a Wolves midfielder’s toes before winning a free-kick on a dangerous position. He also delivered a good ball but Mills’ header goes wide.
[Link]United have the first chance
Good play from Plunkett down the right and his cross found Amir Ibragimov who saw his shot blocked.
[Link]Lawrence names a young U18 side
It’s a very young U18 side today with Shah and Bradbury both stepping up unexpectedly into the starting line-up but a huge opportunity. The notable exclusion is Shea Lacey, with his absence potentially indicating he is with a higher age group or even the senior side.
Biancheri will be looking to get on the scoresheet.
