Manchester United’s U18 side kicked off this season’s FA Youth Cup campaign on Tuesday night against Peterborough.
The most prestigious youth tournament of the season is finally here, as Manchester United’s U18s took on Peterborough, having found form at the perfect time of the season.
JJ Gabriel is now the youngest ever Man Utd player to score in the FA Youth Cup
Which player does JJ Gabriel remind you of? How good can he become?
It was a game in which United dominated for the entirety and yet despite this, Peterborough’s defence proved difficult to get beyond.
This meant it was just one goal that won the game for Darren Fletcher’s side, with JJ Gabriel scoring the winner, which was an excellent finish.
Gabriel’s goal saw him become United’s youngest-ever goalscorer in the competition.
With this, United head into the next round against either Cambridge or Derby. You can follow the game as it happened below.
