Manchester United forward Louie Bradbury is one of the most exciting forward talents currently emerging through the ranks at Carrington.

Louie Bradbury has been lethal up front since his return from injury at the back end of 2025, scoring at both U18 and U21 levels for Manchester United.

Bradbury is only a first-year scholar for United, yet he has been directly challenging Chido Obi this season with his performances, making a real case to be fast-tracked.

But who is the young forward? Here is everything you need to know about him.

Who is Louie Bradbury?

Louie Bradbury is a 17-year-old striker currently playing for United at both the U18 and U21 levels.

The Wales youth international is a certified goalscorer, with Bradbury lethal throughout his entire youth career and now for the higher age categories.

Born in Shrewsbury in 2008, Bradbury is eligible to play for both the Welsh and English national sides in his career.

United only signed Bradbury in 2023 from Shrewsbury Town, and this move has undoubtedly been a brilliant move.

Less of a physical striker, Bradbury is similar to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in his movement in and around the box. Having that Javier Hernandez-style attacking instincts of being in the right place to finish chances, a natural thing that goalscorers cannot be taught.

Bradbury is the most clinical scorer at the club right now with seven goals in just 500 minutes of action, and it’s about time notice was taken.

Does Louie Bradbury have more potential than Chido Obi?

In terms of pure goals right now, he might be United's best academy striker…

Bradbury could be the ace card in attack that Manchester United need

Bradbury is a different type of striker from Obi, and this is what makes him so exciting.

He is a true ‘fox in the box’ style of forward, sniffing out chances and already becoming increasingly clutch at scoring goals in high-pressure moments.

United doesn’t currently have a player like this, so if Bradbury is able to scale his scoring regularly to the U21s, he might very quickly be the ace card option the team needs on the bench when chasing games.

Bradbury has benefited from Gabriele Biancheri’s loan to Rotherham, with the pathway cleared for the 17-year-old to play against enhanced opposition.

Don’t be shocked to see him in the first-team training and even on the bench if he keeps scoring at such a rampant rate.
