Manchester United have another rising star who knows where the net is.

With only two goals in 270 minutes of Premier League football this season, Manchester United fans are hoping Rasmus Hojlund’s return from injury can help solve the problems.

Peter Schmeichel wants to see teenager Ethan Wheatley given a chance, while Gabriele Biancheri has begun the season in fine form for the club’s academy sides.

Chido Obi-Martin is poised to join the academy ranks, while another young talent working his way through the system is Louie Bradbury.

Louie Bradbury stars for Wales under-17s

Manchester United signed Louie Bradbury in early 2023 from Shrewsbury Town. He joined a month after Biancheri.

Bradbury, now 15, scored three goals at Wales under-16s level before being called up to the under-17s this month. He is off to the perfect start.

Wales-under-17s beat Gibraltar 5-0, with Bradbury netting a first-half hat-trick to put his side 3-0 up.

He notched his third goal in the 36th minute, with the rest of the game a procession as his side eased to victory.

Everton’s Shea Pita and Southampton’s Oli Newman added goals in the second half to round off the 5-0 win.

Bradbury claimed 40-goal haul

Louie Bradbury had his first full season in Manchester United’s academy in 2023/24 and it was a successful one.

Bradbury claimed to score 40 goals in all competitions for United’s youth sides, and it is likely he makes a step up this season to under-18s level.

He is yet to feature officially for the under-18s, but took part in a youth tournament this summer mixed in with many of the 18s and under-21 prospects at the club.

His international goalscoring feats only serve to underline his natural talent in front of goal, which could one day become a useful resource in the first team.
