On a stormy September morning, Manchester United’s U18 side were in action against Wolves in the U18 Premier League.

Darren Fletcher’s got his young Red Devils performing at such a high level this season, and this 100 per cent winning record continued on Saturday.

Taking on a tough Wolves side, Manchester United walked out 4-0 winners in a very comfortable victory, which also saw the team keep a fifth clean sheet, having not conceded at all this season.

Five games, 15 points, and a plus-15 goal difference, things are good right now in the academy, with the crown jewel, JJ Gabriel, once again starring up front for United.

Amir Ibragimov was also excellent for United, with Fred Heath in goal, making some sensational stops, but it was another forward who really stole the show.

Samuel Lusale continues impressive U18 campaign as JJ Gabriel scores again

Gabriel’s goal was the pick of the bunch, opening the scoring with a chip over the goalkeeper, but from then on, it was the Samuel Lusale show.

After James Bailey made it 2-0 thanks to a Lusale assist, the 17-year-old then scored the third with an excellent solo run down the left wing.

The scoring was rounded out by Nathaniel-Junior Brown, who grabbed his first goal at the U18 level to effectively take the headlines from his teammates.

It was another very young U18 side, with Gabriel the most extreme example of this, but Brown is another excellent prospect in his own right.

Lusale is also having a brilliant season, having taken a while to settle into life at Carrington.

JJ Gabriel is making U18 football look too easy

This time last season, a 13-year-old JJ Gabriel was hot on the minds of United fans who were eager to see when he would make his debut for the U18s.

It was expected to be a good challenge for the wonderkid, but after a few months playing against 18-year-olds, it is clear that Gabriel is already too good for the level.

At just 14, Gabriel makes it look like a walk in the park against defenders who are as much as four years his elder.

United needs to hold onto Gabriel by any means necessary, as he is destined to be a world beater.
