Manchester United’s academy is set to suffer a big loss, according to a recent U18 debutant, Jaume Camacho.

The academy football season is drawing to a close, and Manchester United will be preparing to name this year’s scholarship group.

Among them could be recent U18s debutant, Jaume Camacho, with the midfielder stepping up recently in the 10 position for Darren Fletcher.

But now, he has taken to social media to suggest another youngster won’t be involved and is set to leave Carrington.

Darlington Osuchukwu leaving Manchester United

One of the finest prospects at United is Spanish youth international Darlington Osuchukwu. The goalkeeper is a giant for his age, and there were high hopes for his future.

Osuchukwu was the only player not at a Spanish club to be included in the Spain U17 side earlier this season, showing just how highly regarded he is.

But now, Camacho’s Instagram story has suggested that Osuchukwu is departing United.

He posted a picture of the pair and a caption.

“End of an era bro, hasta pronto”, with two heart emojis.

Camacho’s younger brother Josep, also sent a message on his own Instagram, writing in Spanish, “Good luck in Spain bro”, which is a heavy indicator that Osuchukwu is bound for a Spanish giant.

The Camacho brothers are also Spanish, born near Barcelona. They were at Manchester City prior to United.

Osuchukwu considered a tier one goalkeeper for Manchester United

Osuchukwu has been brilliant in his Spain opportunities, with his size being a big factor in how good a shot stopper he is.

United signed Osuchukwu as a 13-year-old from Gazte Berriak, but a return to Spain has always appeared likely.

Rumours suggested Barcelona and Real Madrid have been interested in 16-year-old Osuchukwu, and a return to his home country is likely to result in him ending up at one of those clubs.

It is a hefty loss for United, with Osuchukwu considered a brilliant talent.

If this is the end, we wish him luck in his career.
