Manchester United youth prospect James Nolan has signed his first professional contract at the club.

Teenage prospect James Nolan has described an ‘amazing feeling’ after penning his first official Manchester United contract.

Nolan was pictured putting pen to paper on his contract, a show of commitment from the club to his development.

The 17-year-old impressed for the under-18 squad last season, featuring both at full-back and in midfield.

James Nolan signs new deal

James Nolan was recently pictured training with the first team squad at Carrington. He has impressed coaches enough to sign a new contract.

He wrote on Instagram: “Amazing feeling to sign my first professional contract with the club i’ve been with my whole life. Thankyou to all my family and coaches who have made the dream possible.”

Nolan was congratulated by his teammates, with Shea Lacey, Dan Gore and Marc Jurado among the several to reach out and wish him well.

Manchester United commitment to youth

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has shown his commitment to youth since joining the club, integrating Alejandro Garnacho as a regular in his first team squad.

Kobbie Mainoo looks set to join him after impressing in pre-season, although his rise has been temporarily slowed by an ankle injury.

United have recently signed youngsters Dan Gore and Rhys Bennett to extended contracts, while Nolan’s under-18s teammates Elyh Harrison and Finley McAllister have both signed professional deals within the past month.
