Teenager Gabriele Biancheri has scored a goal on his debut for Manchester United Under 18s

Biancheri has sealed his move to United at the end of last month, leaving Cardiff City, where he had trained with their Under 21s.

United faced their Leeds counterparts away from home in the Under 18 Premier League this afternoon, but the Welshman was left on the bench.

He came off the bench in the second half to net his first goal in United colours, making it 3-1 and taking just over 20 minutes to make an impact.

United ended up getting pegged back to 3-3 by conceding two late goals, including an equaliser in the 92nd minute of the match.

Leeds sit bottom of the table, so it was definitely two points dropped but there is no love lost whenever the sides play at any level.

The starting XI was: Harrison, Ogunneye, Jackson, Kingdon, Mantato, Fitzgerald, Berry, Nolan, Scanlon, Williams, Musa

On the bench were: Myles, Kamason, Wheatley, Biancheri, Norkett.

United went behind when Habeeb Ogunneye put through his own net on nine minutes, but an own goal from Leeds levelled the scores on 26 minutes.

After the break, Ethan Williams put United 2-1 up by the time Biancheri came on and he must have thought he’d made the game safe.

The teenager will turn 17 in September 2023 and then can sign a professional deal with the Red Devils, if the club want him to.

Last season for Cardiff’s under-16s he scored 17 goals and provided 10 assists, and he will look to build on his goalscoring debut moving forward.
