Forson has trained with the first team earlier this season, and given Erik ten Hag’s involvement with the Under-21 side and ensuring an integration between the two, he will likely view his hat-trick with glee.
United’s thin squad could be tested by the gruelling schedule they are enduring right now, with games pretty much every three days.
That could provide opportunities for the likes of Forson down the line, but all he can do for the time being is keep scoring at this level.
