Manchester United’s name has been thrown into the mix regarding wantaway Ajax starlet Brian Brobbey.
Brobbey, 19, has three goals in seven first team appearances for Ajax and appears to want out.
Marca report: “Brobbey dreamed as a child of making his debut with Ajax and leaving for Manchester United.”
So could it happen now? All signs point to Brobbey leaving Ajax. The teenager is out of contract at the end of the current season. The question is where he will end up.

Manager Erik ten Hag was quoted by Football Oranje saying Ajax’s chances of keeping Brobbey are ‘minimal’, although he has not given up.
Marc Overmars was quoted by Marca saying: “It’s a shame. We have done everything possible to keep him going, but he prefers to play for another team. This story tires me, but it is his right.”
Outstanding strike talent
Brobbey has scored a phenomenal 84 goals in 103 academy games for Ajax.
He even scored the winner for Ajax’s first team in the Europa League against Lille in midweek.
Brobbey, who is yet to decide whether to play international football for the Netherlands or Ghana, says he will give his all while he is an Ajax player.
Speaking to De Telegraaf, he says he idolises Didier Drogba, commenting: “I am an annoying forward. Strong, dangerous and fast.”
One big problem for United
At 19, there are no Brexit complications for United if Brobbey joined, other than that he would just be one of six overseas players permitted to join this year who are aged under 21.
There is a sizeable problem however with regards to his agent. Unfortunately Brobbey is represented by Mino Raiola.
With Brobbey set to become a free agent, Raiola is likely looking for a huge cut of any signing on fee. This alone may be enough to put United off after the problems he has caused with Paul Pogba.
The way it could happen is based around just how much Brobbey wants to sign with United. If his heart is set on a move to Old Trafford, then he could force it through and won’t let Raiola stand in his way.
United could always use an up and coming forward, 19, despite the young options coming through the ranks, Joe Hugill and Charlie McNeill. Unlike those two, Brobbey could go straight into the first team picture and put pressure on Anthony Martial.
United are aware of Brobbey no doubt. The Sun reported four years ago how the club were scouting him when he was just 15.
Right now we don’t know how active United are in pursuit of him. But the fact he is available on a free transfer this summer and has a prolific goal record should automatically make him the type of player United are looking at.

The Raiola factor is a big problem, but this hasn’t put United supporters off dreaming of a future deal for Erling Haaland, still.
A report from AS reported RB Leipzig are among the clubs who have already checked in over a potential deal for the striker.
As an investment, signing Brobbey on a free would be a smart move considering he could be worth millions in years to come.
