Celtic and Croatia right-back Josip Juranovic on Manchester United's radar

Celtic and Croatia right-back Josip Juranovic is reportedly on Manchester United’s radar, according to 90min.

The 26-year-old, who is also attracting interest from Chelsea and Atletico Madrid, enjoyed a fruitful debut campaign in Scotland after joining from Legia Warsaw for just £2.5m, and was named in the Scottish Premiership Team of the Year.

The report from 90min states that the Hoops would consider selling the 20-time Croatia international but they would want more than £15m for their number 88.

Juranovic, who has four years left to run on his contract at Celtic Park, won the league and cup double during his first season up north.

In his first season under the tutelage of Ange Postecoglou, Juranovic scored five goals and laid on two assists from 37 appearances.

Diogo Dalot has been Erik ten Hag‘s first-choice right-back since the former Ajax boss took over the reins at Old Trafford.

However, 90min report that the 52-year-old wants an upgrade on both the Portugal international and out of favour former Crystal Palace man Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The Red Devils paid the Eagles £50m to sign the former England Under-21 international three years ago, but it seems abundantly clear that the Dutchman doesn’t believe that our number 29 possesses the technical attributes to be the modern day full-back he craves.

Dalot looks to be in the driving seat of the right-back berth and had an impressive pre-season, but he had a jittery and difficult afternoon against Brighton & Hove Albion in Ten Hag’s first Premier League game in charge of the club.

Ethan Laird will likely leave on loan to a Championship side before the transfer window closes and if Wan-Bissaka is allowed to leave then Juranovic could be targeted as the man to provide stern competition to Dalot.
