Spin a wheel, land on a number, and that number is the striker Manchester United will sign today.
This deadline day has an unpredictable nature to it with United left scrambling.
The Red Devils are usually either more organised, or plain reluctant to do business, but poor planning and over confidence has left the club short of options.
The management appear to have recognised that a front two of Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood is not enough.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer told The Independent after the midweek derby that he wants the club to sign a striker who is prepared to ‘break bones’ to score.

Solution?
A potential solution to United’s problems is Real Sociedad striker Willian Jose.
We wrote earlier this week that the Brazilian should be an option amid his reported move to Spurs breaking down.
Now Sky Sports claim United ‘have been offered’ Willian Jose.
MORE UNITED STORIES
It is unclear whether United are just being used by Sociedad to increase pressure on Tottenham, who are still said to be keen, but the striker really would be a good signing.
The terms of the deal are either £25 million or a loan with an option to buy. Willian Jose has missed Sociedad’s last two games amid speculation over his future.
He has scored eight goals this season in 20 games, and is the type of physical hold up striker who Solskjaer is looking for.
Last season he hit the headlines when he struck four goals in one Europa League game.
It remains unclear whether United will take this option up, or will move for Salomon Rondon, Islam Slimani, or other, but somebody needs to be brought in. Willian Jose might be the best of the bunch.
