Marcel Sabitzer has clinched his move from Bayern Munich to Manchester United on loan for the rest of the season.
United pursued Sabitzer after suffering an injury to Christian Eriksen which will keep him out until at least April.
German journalist Florian Plettenberg, who broke the news of the move, claimed the deal is complete.
United have since confirmed the announcement: “Manchester United is pleased to confirm that Marcel Sabitzer has joined the club on loan from Bayern Munich until June 2023.”

United did not announce the deal before the 11pm deadline. This was permittable because the club submitted a ‘deal sheet’ to the Premier League, which gave until midnight for the transfer to be ratified.
The move is still pending official announcement, but it appears there will be no hitches. Marcel Sabitzer is Manchester United’s newest player.
Sabitzer won’t be involved in the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg. He will likely begin training with the team from Thursday.
