Marcel Sabitzer is set to fly to Manchester to seal a move to Manchester United before the transfer deadline.
The Telegraph reported the development, with Sky Germany reporting the midfielder has arrived at Munich airport.
Sabitzer is Manchester United’s surprise deadline day move, required to cover the injury to Christian Eriksen, who will be out until April.
United are landing an experienced played who at 28, still has plenty left to offer. He has featured in 23 games for Bayern Munich this season.
The terms of the deal are yet to emerge, however, the transfer is expected to be a loan transfer, possibly with a small fee and United covering his wages. The Mail report United are preparing a medical.

Sabitzer fills a need for United
United are light in midfield after injuries to Christian Eriksen and Donny van de Beek. Erik ten Hag told the club website that Scott McTominay will also miss the Carabao Cup semi final with injury.
With United competing in four different competitions, it is essential to bring in extra depth, and Sabitzer is a very shrewd signing.
United have until 11pm to clinch the move, and everything looks to be on course. Sabitzer would be United’s third signing of the window, following Jack Butland and Wout Weghorst.
