Manchester United are in resurgent form under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. After four straight league wins, the club now turn their attention to the FA Cup.
United have a rich tradition in the competition. But the interim manager is likely to ring the changes.
While Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku will come in up front, United do not have such rick pickings at the back.
With Eric Bailly suspended, and Chris Smalling and Marcos Rojo injured, United only have Victor Lindelof and Phil Jones as senior options.
Solskjaer would be taking a risk playing the pair. After all, one or both could be injured before the crunch clash with Tottenham Hotspur.
So could now be the time for another United debutant?
Ro-Shaun Williams has recently been training with United’s first-team, and the 20-year-old has the talent to make his mark at Old Trafford.
Williams is very fast and possesses the innate defensive talent to excel under Solskjaer. Saturday’s clash would also be the ideal time to give him a chance.
With 53 appearances for United’s under-23s, Williams is ready to step up.
A place on the bench against Reading seems likely, while a start is not beyond the realms of possibility.
