Manchester United’s search for a left back looks as if it might be taking an interesting turn, with a move for Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon touted for the January transfer window.

17 year old Sessegnon has won many admirers since bursting on to the scene at Craven Cottage and after butting heads over each club’s reported interest in each other’s left backs, Spurs and United are set to face off again to sign the highly-rated youngster.

Sessegnon has already made 53 first team appearances and looks comfortable playing at a senior level – he has been known about for some time but his seamless transition has seen his value skyrocket, with the lower league London side valuing their star at an eye-watering £50m.

Sessegnon is playing at left-back but is putting in the kind of performances that are evoking memories of Gareth Bale’s earlier days.
