United Legend Keane Says Pogba A 'Big Loss' For Derby

Manchester United legend Roy Keane says Paul Pogba’s suspension will be a ‘big loss’ for Jose Mourinho as he prepares to face Pep Guardiola at the weekend.
Pogba will sit out the Manchester derby in the first of three suspended games this weekend and former United midfielder Keane believes the absence will inevitably damage his former team’s chances.

“It’s a huge game, I’m looking forward to it. I think United will sit in and look to get at them on the counter-attack, but Pogba is a big loss,” Keane told ITV Sport in his role as Champions League pundit. “It’s tough in Manchester at the moment with what City are doing. They have raised the bar and United have got them at the weekend. They probably have show City who are top dogs because they have great options going forward, great pace in the team. No doubt in my mind that they are in there with a chance. They will be a threat in every competition, of course they are.”
Keane stopped short of declaring City as favourites but seemed to indicate that was his feeling; when asked if City’s trip to Russia would have any bearing on the result, he shrugged it off. “I don’t think City’s defeat affects the United game because there was no intensity,” he said. “It’s human nature that players are going to slacken off. There were loads of changes, it was a weakened team and it was no surprise to me that they got beat.”
Keane was never on the losing side in a Manchester derby; United fans can only dream of what a fit Keane at his peak would bring to this current side.
