Manchester United are expected to make changes against Istanbul Basaksehir in midweek.

Amid disappointing domestic form, United are on track in the Champions League with two wins from two games.

A victory away at Istanbul Basaksehir will take United to nine points and to the brink of qualification.

There are decisions to make ahead of this game. Starting with the formation.

United need to attack and take the game to Istanbul, who have lost both games and failed to score in the Champions League so far.

Solskjaer has the firepower at his disposal and there are players who need games.

Both Edinson Cavani and Anthony Martial need starts and will be both be looking to earn a spot in the Premier League line up against Everton on Sunday.

Midfield and defence

This should lead United back to playing with a midfield diamond formation.

The quartet selected against RB Leipzig worked well and United should go with them again, with Nemanja Matic very important in his role shielding the defence.

It will be a controversial selection to put Paul Pogba in here, but this would be an opportunity for him to respond after his poor performance at the weekend.

And if he starts in this game, there is a greater chance he will sit out against Everton.

Donny van de Beek has been overlooked for far too long and this game is an ideal one for him. Bruno Fernandes would drop to the bench.

United have been strong in defence during the past few games, but Axel Tuanzebe should slot in here.

He was excellent against PSG, and this would give Victor Lindelof a rest ahead of the Everton game on Saturday.

Alex Telles is unlikely to be ready to feature in this fixture. Brandon Williams is an option and could play at full-back if United look to rotate, although most probably, it will be Luke Shaw and Aaron Wan-Bissaka again.
