Manchester United have unveiled the new kit for 2019/20 season.
Paul Pogba was front and centre in promotional pictures released by the club.
The Adidas designed shirt is ‘a tribute’ to the 1999 treble winning team which culminated with the Champions League win over Bayern Munich.
“The new shirt acknowledges the minutes in which those historic goals were scored with 90+1 and 90+3 printed on the sleeves. The dates of the FA Cup final win over Newcastle United and decisive Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur are also displayed, along the bottom of the shirt.”
United’s new kit will be worn later this month at the treble reunion game at Old Trafford against Bayern.
The goalkeeper strip is purple, unlike the green one worn by Peter Schmeichel in 1999.
Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer scored the winning goal back in Barcelona, a memory which will live on forever.
His task now is to try and get United back to those former glories. Truth be told, it looks tougher than ever after an immensely disappointing season.
The saddest part is United aren’t even in the Champions League next season.
Let’s hope new this kit can be remembered in it’s own right for the achievements of the players wearing it.
Here is a look at some of your reactions to the new kit…
Decent. Looking forward to white shorts returning.

Generic… apart from the badge. Could have done much better with replicating the 99 shirt

Why a need to change each season, and each new kit is basically the same as the last

Fancy bringing out the anniversary shirt when we are not even in the champions league . Should’ve brought out a limited edition one to save the embarrassment but NO !! Ed’s spotted another commercial exploitation of the fans

Don’t care about the kit they are wearing anymore. Cba if they were pink, purple, torn kit. They have to deliver on the pitch.
