So despite his reported wishes otherwise, Paul Pogba is heading out on tour with Manchester United.

The Frenchman was pictured flying out this afternoon to Australia with the rest of the squad.

This was despite reports in The Mirror last night claiming United had ‘no idea’ if he would turn up for the tour.

Pogba had been in New York for an Adidas event last week and missed the start of pre-season training.

Agent Mino Raiola told The Times on Friday that Pogba wanted to quit United.

It had been reported he could skip the tour as part of his desire to force a transfer.

United appear to have held firm.

New signings Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Dan James were also pictured at the airport.

United made tried to make clear this summer the club has no intention of selling Pogba. Real Madrid and Juventus are both interested.

Letting him skip tour would have been a terrible look and made the club look weak.

We’ll see what happens next. There’s a month and two days before the transfer window closes.
