Jose Mourinho has taken an amusing swipe at Noel Gallagher, calling the guitarist ‘brave’ for assuming a role as pundit on Sky Sports for their coverage of Sunday’s derby.
Sky’s presentations have never been renowned for their balance, with their panels often heavily dominated by former Arsenal or Liverpool players, and, with a lack of prominent erudite Manchester City-leaning pundits, the broadcaster have opted hire the former Oasis songwriter.
United manager Mourinho was asked about the decision and gave a humorous answer.
“Noel is a big Man City fan, that’s not a problem at all,” said Jose. “I think if someone invites me to be a pundit on the Eurovision Song Contest I wouldn’t go. I wouldn’t risk myself. If Noel wants to do that, brave man.”
