Maccabi Haifa send message to Manchester United
A humiliating defeat for United at home to Tottenham saw the Red Devils hit for six at Old Trafford.
United lost 6-1 at home to Spurs, getting totally outplayed after taking the lead in the first minute.
This was Tottenham’s second big win of the week, having beaten Maccabi Haifa in the Europa League 7-2 days earlier.
The Israeli team sent a message on social media after the result.
RONALDO NEEDS TO STOP WHINING.
Oddly this had seemed like a good week to play Tottenham.
They had midweek games on Tuesday and Thursday heading into the tie at Old Trafford.
Having beaten Chelsea on penalties in midweek too before the Maccabi Haifa game, Tottenham came into the match with an extra spring in their steps.
They were full of confidence and looked sharp, while United were disorganised and lacked cutting edge in attack.
This result was a terrible one and it did not flatter Tottenham, it was an accurate representation of the performances put in by the two teams.
The only small crumb of comfort on this tough day, was seeing Liverpool lose 7-2 hours later.
