Harry Maguire shares picture with Jadon Sancho

Jadon Sancho is busy training with England as Euro 2020 continues. This means he is getting to know his potential Manchester United teammates.

Sancho and Marcus Rashford are already great pals. Rashford has spoken about Sancho’s quality before and shared a picture together on his social media feed last week as soon as the pair linked up once again for England.

Now United captain Harry Maguire is getting in on the act.

Maguire shared a picture alongside Sancho from Thursday’s training session, and while of course it doesn’t really mean anything, he did write Sancho’s name in red. Yes we are clutching at straws a little here…

Sancho move at stalemate

When it comes to an update on United’s Sancho move, a picture of him alongside Harry Maguire is sadly about as good as it gets right now.

After seemingly taking a proactive approach at the end of last week, Manchester United are no closer to tying up a deal for Sancho.

BBC Sport reported last week that United had a bid turned down by Borussia Dortmund.

The Athletic reported talks had been held up over the type of add-ons United wanted to include in the deal.

That was last Friday and nothing truly notable has emerged since to actively move the deal forward.

German newspaper Bild reported Dortmund believe a deal will go ahead, and they are setting their sights on signing Dutch attacker Donyell Malen from PSV.

Sancho and Maguire could be in the England matchday squad tonight after both missing out against Croatia at the weekend.
