Manchester United talent Facundo Pellistri could head out on loan this summer with Dutch side FC Twente interested in a deal.
United fans are still waiting for Pellistri to really break through at Old Trafford.
The 21-year-old joined United from Penarol back in 2020 with real hype surrounding his arrival.
Pellistri had 18 slightly underwhelming months with Spanish side Alaves, failing to register a goal or assist in 35 games on loan.
The winger was around the United squad last season but only made 10 appearances in all competitions.
What comes next for the Uruguayan?
Alejandro Garnacho has emerged as a huge talent whilst Amad Diallo will be back at Old Trafford this summer, only adding to the competition out wide.
Pellistri may struggle for first-team minutes this summer and another loan could be on the cards.
FC Twente chase loan deal for Manchester United winger Facundo Pellistri
Dutch football magazine Voetbal International report that FC Twente want to sign Pellistri on loan.
Technical director Jan Streuer admits that Twente are aware of Pellistri but they are familiar with a number of ‘interesting’ players.
MORE UNITED STORIES
It’s suggested that a number of clubs want to sign Pellistri, so a move to Twente is far from a nailed-on switch.
One United youngster has moved over to the Netherlands this summer, with Zidane Iqbal completing a permanent move to Utrecht.

United surely won’t be selling Pellistri this summer and Twente almost certainly couldn’t afford him anyway.
A loan to Twente may well appeal though given that Erik ten Hag and Steve McClaren both have ties to the Eredivisie club.
Ten Hag was a Twente hero as a player before going into coaching with the club, working under McClaren in Enschede.
Iqbal joined one of Ten Hag’s former clubs in Utrecht and Pellistri could now follow suit – but only on loan rather than in a longer-term move.
