anchester United fans finally got a glimpse of Tahith Chong in action last weekend, and they were not disappointed.
The Dutch winger has long been touted as a future star at Old Trafford. And Chong’s cameo against Reading suggested better things to come.
At 19, Chong has pace to burn and a box of tricks set to delight the United faithful. He is also the most exciting winger to come through the club’s academy since a certain Ryan Giggs.
Yes, he is that good.

Chong will now be hoping to build on his FA Cup appearance and the one player most at risk from the teenager is Alexis Sanchez.
The Chilean has flattered to deceive since arriving at Old Trafford. His performances under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hint at more but, if he does not perform, Chong is chomping at the bit to replace him.
Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial are United’s current first choice options, while Romelu Lukaku could be the super-sub Solskjaer once was.
Sanchez should follow suit. He certainly has the skill-set to excel at United under his interim boss.
But, if he continues to flounder, Chong could and should start taking some of the Chilean’s minutes.
From there, the sky could be the limit.
