Bruno Fernandes sends message to Marcus Rashford after United win
Marcus Rashford scored Manchester United’s third goal in a comeback win over West Ham.
It took him up to 10 for the season, although it could have been 11 if he had scored an earlier chance when one on one with the goalkeeper.
Bruno Fernandes put Rashford through on goal, and he was annoyed Rashford cost him an assist.
Fernandes sent Rashford a message after the game on Instagram, joking that he better not miss another chance like that.
RONALDO NEEDS TO STOP WHINING.
Rashford made far easier work of his other opportunity. It was Juan Mata who provided that pass to put him through on goal.
Fernandes did get his assist, a crucial one in which he laid on the pass for Paul Pogba to score an equaliser.
While Pogba made it look easy, he had to do so much, and Fernandes’ perfectly weighted and placed ball into his path set him up ideally.
The goal turned the tide on a poor performance up to that point, and was followed up by goals from Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford.
The win meant United’s players could laugh about Rashford’s missed chance, but Anthony Martial’s midweek miss was no laughing matter.
United’s forwards need to be more clinical. Upcoming games against RB Leipzig and then Manchester City are huge and the players have to be ruthless in front of goal.
