Alexis Sanchez sends message to Manchester United fans
Alexis Sanchez’s spell at Manchester United did not work out well.
Although we did manage to pick out a handful of decent moments, the move was an expensive and failed gamble from the Red Devils.
Sanchez’s time at the club came to an end last month when he was allowed to leave to sign with Inter Milan, with his contract cut short two years early.
The Chilean has now sent a message to United supporters to close the chapter, and move on.
RONALDO NEEDS TO STOP WHINING.
He wrote: “My time at Manchester United has finished and I only have words to say thank you, I clarify and close it.”
Sanchez played for Inter Milan in the remainder of the Europa League, losing against Sevilla in the final.
Now he is preparing to start the next season in Serie A and kick on, after ending the campaign strongly.
He did not have to send this message, so it was a nice touch for him to do so.
It won’t help the perception that his time at United was anything but a failure, but it was not through a lack of effort.
For Sanchez it simply did not click, and he looked like half the player he was at Arsenal and Barcelona.
United can be grateful now that he has moved on, and that his wages are no longer a detriment to the club’s progress over the next couple of seasons.
