Alexis Sanchez was brought on in the Nou Camp too late, with Manchester United already 4-0  down on aggregate.
It is not too late however for Sanchez to have an impact on United’s season.
Whatever his future holds, Sanchez remains a United player for now, and in his brief cameo against Barcelona he looked bright.
He had a header on target which was well saved by Marc Andre Ter Stegen, and drove forward when he got he opportunity, nearly setting up Marcus Rashford with a through ball.

Sanchez produced more than Anthony Martial did during his performance, with the starting Frenchman again disappointing.
It offered a glimmer of hope that Sanchez can step up and save United’s season.
Three big games are upcoming over the next week, away to Everton, and then at home to Chelsea and Manchester City.

Sanchez’s performance last night offered one last glimmer of hope that he could be the man, and he should be a starter against Everton.
