Manchester United’s move for Dan James is getting nearer. The Mail report a £15 million fee has been agreed with Swansea.
It’s only a matter of time before James becomes United’s first summer signing, so what can we expect from the winger?
Well his performances this past season left departing Swansea boss Graham Potter lost for words.
Speaking to the club website just last month, Potter raved about the United bound winger.
He said: “I have run out of superlatives to be honest. His ability to run, his desire to run and his courage and quality, we are just lucky to witness it I think.
“It was a high-level performance. If you are being honest that performance is above the Championship.
“We are all just fortunate to witness that type of performance from him and the team as well. It was as good an individual performance as I have witnessed. He was so, so good.”
James is the type of electrifying player United have lacked badly in recent seasons and his pace will ask big questions of defences.
He will benefit United’s other attackers too by creating space and attracting attention, and is a shrewd addition.
James has just been called up into the Wales international squad again by Ryan Giggs, where he is joined by United teenager Dylan Levitt, who hopes to win his first cap.
