Manchester United return to Premier League action against Aston Villa this weekend.

Both sides were eliminated from the EFL Cup on Wednesday night and will be looking to bounce back here.

What time does Man Utd v Villa kick-off?

United v Villa will kick off at 12.30pm on Saturday 25th September.

United won both meetings between the sides last season; 2-1 at Old Trafford and 3-1 at Villa Park.

Is Man Utd vs Villa on TV?

The game has been moved to the early afternoon slot, which usually means it would be televised.

But BT Sport are showing Chelsea v Manchester City at the same time and the United game isn’t on television at all.

Why isn’t United v Villa on TV?

As per United’s official website, kick off has been moved so it doesn’t clash with a concert at the nearby Old Trafford cricket ground on Saturday afternoon.

The Courteneers are playing there and a request was made by Trafford Council’s Safety Advisory Group to move United’s game with Villa.

How to watch United vs Villa

United fans will need to wait until Match of the Day on BBC1 at 10:30pm for extended highlights of the game.

Sky Sports’ YouTube channel does tend to upload Premier League highlights earlier than that too.

This is United’s second straight home league match which hasn’t been televised, after the 3pm kick-off against Newcastle on September 11.

Man Utd v Villa team news

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said at his pre-match press conference that Edinson Cavani is back in the squad.

That means that Marcus Rashford and Amad are the only confirmed absentees for this game.

The likes of Dean Henderson and Alex Telles made their first appearances of the season in the loss against West Ham on Wednesday.

Villa are without Axel Tuanzebe, because he is on loan from United. Morgan Sanson and Leon Bailey are also ruled out injured.

Our prediction

The atmosphere for United’s home league games has been electric this season and the fans will be important again here.

United need to get back on track quickly against a side who caused them a fair few problems last season.

Solskjaer will know the importance of a quick start and with Chelsea and City facing off at the same time, United can steal a march on at least one title rival with a win.

With a packed Old Trafford roaring them on, we’ve got to back United to get the job done.

Our prediction: United 2-1 Villa
