Manchester United’s team to play Everton at Goodison Park has been announced.
This is one of English football’s most famous and historic fixtures and is usually a highlight of the Premier League season. United will be looking to shed those December blues and start 2018 off the right way but they will be coming head-to-head with an Everton side who certainly look improved from the last time the two teams met.
Earlier in the season United won the game between the sides at Old Trafford with a resounding 4-0 scoreline but it is likely to be a much tougher proposition today. Everton have a tougher resolve under new manager Sam Allardyce and Goodison Park is always a tough place to go.
Jose Mourinho has been forced to ring the changes. Ashley Young became the latest absentee after he was given a three match ban following an incident in the Southampton game, but he joins a list of stars such as Chris Smalling, Eric Bailly, Antonio Valencia, Romelu Lukaku and Zlatan Ibrahimovic who miss out.
