Gary Neville blasts 'totally unacceptable' Glazer plan to sell stake to Apollo

Gary Neville says warned US investment firm Apollo away from buying a stake in the club.

The Mail reported this week the Glazer family are looking at selling a stake to the investors.

A further update from The Mail last night reported Apollo will not invest any money into Manchester United, and are simply looking to buy a stake from members of the Glazer family who want out.

Neville blasts ‘totally unacceptable’ Glazer plan

Former United captain Neville says this kind of deal is ‘totally unacceptable’, and has warned Apollo off.

Manchester United fans are desperate for the Glazer family to sell the club entirely, after 17 years of ruinous ownership.

United sit 20th in the Premier League table, with the owners failing to invest a single penny of their own money since taking over in 2005.

The club has been beset by poor management under their ownership, which has been evident again this summer with another badly planned transfer window.

British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe told The Times this week, he wants to buy a stake in Manchester United, with a view to full ownership.
