Even in limited game time, Amad managed to make an impression in his debut half a season at Manchester United.

He scored his first goal for the club in a Europa League tie against AC Milan, and provided his first assist when he set up Mason Greenwood against Leicester City.

There is plenty more to come, and after a brief summer break he is excited to get started.

Amad posted a video on his Twitter feed last night, declaring himself ready to return for pre-season, while also including a short highlight video from his limited action last season.

Important decision ahead

Amad will relish the chance to show what he is capable of in pre-season, especially with some of United’s attacking options still busy at Euro 2020.

United have to decide for certain whether to keep Amad with the squad or send him out on loan.

There is a case he could benefit from playing regular football out on loan, if the right offer comes in. United will certainly field a few enquiries.

The dilemma is that Amad might be too good for United to send out. He could still play a vital role this coming season.

Jadon Sancho can play on the left and may need to if Marcus Rashford requires an operation, this will ensure Amad is needed on the right.

Supporters call for Amad to stay

United fans are keen that Amad stays put and took the opportunity to reply to his message to let him know that.

Here is a look at several of the responses to the young winger’s message…
