Manchester United loanee Axel Tuanzebe passed the test in the biggest game of his life so far.
Tuanzebe has been out on loan at Aston Villa all season and yesterday he starred in the play-off final.
The young United defender was excellent as Villa won 2-1 at Wembley to clinch promotion.
Fortunately for us, he is destined to be back at United next season.
The loan has been a big success, with Tuanzebe developing from a boy into a man.
United desperately need more quality at centre-back and Tuanzebe is part of the answer.
We would rather see Tuanzebe finally get chances at Old Trafford than persisting to keep playing Chris Smalling, Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo.
Victor Lindelöf is a big part of our future, and we aren’t quite willing to close the door on Eric Bailly yet.
United need to buy a centre-back this summer, with Ajax’s Matthijs De Ligt linked.
Despite Lindelöf’s progress, some United fans are fancifully dreaming of a De Ligt and Tuanzebe partnership.
Whatever happens with De Ligt, Tuanzebe seems nailed on to play a part next season.

Tuanzebe is so composed for his age. People are talking about a De Ligt-Lindelof or De Ligt-Bailly partnership, but really, De Ligt-Tuanzebe is the way to go.
