The midfielder Fred returns to the Seleção on Tuesday as a Manchester United player. In the last second, he took advantage of the gap after a 2-0 win over Croatia to define his future. He spent much of the day in the CT in Manchester with his businessmen and from there he went to the office of the English club in London, where he signed the five-year contract.

The official announcement is a matter of time: United expects only the arrival of a document from Shakhtar Donetsk to confirm the hiring for about 55 million euros ($ 240 million).

After passing the exams and even signing the contract, Fred posed for photos and videos with the Manchester United shirt last Monday. It was one of the things that the midfielder did in the club’s CT between early morning and early afternoon. In the first direct contact, by the way. the driver and his representatives, former players Fábio Mello and Gilberto Silva, were impressed by the structure and attention of United’s employees.

Creator of Atletico-MG and revealed at the base of the International, the midfielder played the last five seasons in Ukraine. Earlier in the year, Manchester City made a bid for the player. He wanted to leave Pep Guardiola’s team very much, but Shakhtar’s presence in the last 16 of the Champions League prevented the transfer. The board of the Ukrainian club kicked its feet and refused to sell the player.

Since then, Fred’s representatives have been sealing the deal for Shakhtar to release him for less than the € 70 million fine at the end of the season. That was when coach Jose Mourinho came into action. The former Inter player is one of the pillars of the team that the Portuguese wants to set up for United to prevent the bicampeonato of rival City in the English Championship.

  1. May God help Morinho if he makes another mistake of signing wrong players again What MU need is players who will fight from 1st to last minute, player like Williams of Chelsea, Salah of Liverpool who are restless in the field not the present squad who go to sleep 45 minutes and wake up in the 79 minutes of the game.

  2. Welcome to Manchester now be prepared for a season of boring football with not much attacking and I am a Utd fan good luck

  3. Welcome to Manchester Fred but be prepared for very little attacking and boring football and I am a Utd fan good luck

  4. Write your comment…that is indeed a good move from united. I pray Fred fits in perfectly in that position. thumbs up to the management. we need more signings though.

  5. United have done well with the signing of Fred, but if we actually anticipate of been the best in the world like MADRID, then we need proven players..RONALDO united to Madrid, MODRIC and Gareth Beal from Tottenham to Madrid, Tonikross, just to mention a few and almost all their first eleven are starter’s for their national team…MU need players like that not second fiddle players, how often do you Madrid buying players like Fred type hmmmm I rest my case, but I will prefer Willian, Raja Niangolan or Auturo Vidal and Maquinos of PSG 100% with this 3 players the league will be ours.. LONG LIVE UNITED, LONG LIVE MORINHO,LONG LIVE MATIC…

  6. I hope this is a good signing for utd. Please Jose, try and make attacking football your main priority this coming season

  7. we all knows fred is a good player but we still need good player like willian man u they should do anything withing there power to get willian from chelsea b4 it too late thank u man u fans

  8. He’s a good player, energetic he’s a fighter i think i cant wait to see him playin for my club united forever

  9. Write your comment…well thats not bad but i want is for him to give his best for,up coming season united for

  10. Welcome to Man United Fred I wish u sucess. The problem with Jose, he buys good players $ mix them with fake ones, the worst players in Man in terms of percentage Chris Smelling 99, Lindefo 83, Jones 82, Mata 92, Shaw 91, Rashford 80, Valencia 80, Blind 79 etc, so unless Jose sells off them, man u will not have good team

  11. hello fred congratulation for join our father jesus christ house, i wish u long live and prosperity.(pls mouhrino guud of u to sign fred as a gud mifielder bt we need more players to sign than that in father house like antonio grienzman, william, veratti, marttens, dybala, ……) to make the team strong well

  12. Write your comment…did u say smalling and even Rashford? But want to buy william who had never be in form for half a season?choice differs but i think mou’s playing style and the mentality of trying not to concede at all makes manutd players too cautious.bring savic and douglas costa in with free flowing football and we are good to go.

  13. Write your comment…welcome Fred, wish you best of luck, make sure you come with your active boot,if you do any how, José will give you any how.better be active.

  14. Write your comment…Fred Is Good Signing For Us.We Need Him To Work With Valencia At Right Wing And To Make The Attacking Force To Be Balance, good For You And Good For The Team As Well

  15. Weicpme fred I see Savic says he is the next signing for Man U.
After signing Sánchez who plays on the left was bad policy after already having two players in that position. Now Savic who plays in the identical position of Pogba.
They need to get rid of mata and get a proper right winger
